You’ve finally done it! You have opted for the lap band following significant planning lasting months or even years and considering all the information at hand. It feels wonderful while taking the first step to change something in your life from bad to good. That being said, to get to your goal weight the lap band procedure alone is not the cure. You must be ready and willing to lead the charge in changing old eating habits and exercise routines in order to assure the success you seek. We don’t get fat from not eating. We get fat from eating things we shouldn’t. Not so much things we should never eat, but eating excessive amounts of things for which we should limit our consumption. Start slowly, start with something you really enjoy doing. The most effective method of exercising to begin with is walking. It is both easy to use and inexpensive. Walking with good shoes and a positive attitude will provide more benefits than just weight loss. If you are interested in dancing, go ahead and try it. Another suggestion is to put on your favorite music and dance everyday. When you build to deem stronger and more stalwart and you allow, build some resistance production to that. Just start out doing a little of what you like everyday. Once something has become a habit, you will miss it if you need to skip if for a day.

3. Remember that attitude is an important component of the solution!

Four. CREATE A SUPPORT SYSTEM.
Whether or nor you have a lap band, the support of your family and friends is most important. Surround yourself with positive people that will be there for you in thick and thin, this will help you reach your goals much faster. Be able to have fun and be around people you enjoy being with it a major plus. The more you move, the more you lose and just go when friends say to go. Tell your family and friends about your goals and how you plan to reach them and recruit their support. There will be those who try to sabotage you and once you realize who they are shy away from them until you feel strong enough to say no to their unhealthy eating habits.
Remember, you’re doing all these things for yourself. Not only do you need to strive to transform your eating habits and exercise routines, but you may also need to change your attitudes and friends because you decided to get the lap band to improve your body. All labor as one for the common good. This is your time, so take the time to make it successful and perhaps be able to one day help someone else be successful at it also.
