Health and Fitness

How others are always talking about losing weight fast is very important. This article will provide you with the info that you need to make this happen. Without even thinking about most people are eating poisonOn a daily basis, even small amounts of the substance are linked to heart disease, and research shows that increases insulin resistance and risk of diabetes, effects cholesterol levels, and increases visceral fat.

The poison I’m referring to is called trans fatty acids or TFA.Almost all TFAs are man-made except some which are found in dairy products.

In 2006, new food labeling laws brought the matter of TFAs to national attention.TFAs have even been banned from restaurants in some states.

Research has shown increased deaths from myocardial infarction and CHD with even small amounts of the substance.

While some groups who eat a lot of fried food and pastries get up to 10% of their energy from TFAs, countries where fast food is something new also have high rates, while people the United States get about 3% of their energy from TFAs.The government says that the most TFA intake should be 1% which is about 2 g, but others say that there is no safe level of TFAs.

With the knowledge of the dangers of trans fats so prevalent we have to ask why.The reason is that TFAs are used to produce food that has a long life restorers and transportation.

There’s still a lot of ignorance about TFAs and there is very little action being taken to correct the problem.

For example 73% of Americans realize that TFAs increased heart disease risks, according to the American diabetic Association. The percentage of awareness seems to be increasing.University Of Colorado professor Robert Eckel says that the awareness of the TFA problem hasn’t changed behavior very much. The ADA to the survey that showed that 79% of Americans were unable to name three foods that contain trans fats.

Here are some good guidelines and some foods to avoid.

1. Check out the ingredient lists on the food you eat.If your food has TFA unit if it contains hydrogenated oils such as cottonseed, palm, and soybean

2. Be careful of loopholes and labeling.Companies want you to think that their foods are free of TFA, so they will say zero trans fats even if they have hydrogenated oils in the ingredients.Because the government allows them to claim zero trans fat if they have less than half a gram of trans fat per serving, they will change the serving size until it is so small that the TFA content is less than half per serving.

3. Eat label - less foods. if you eat natural foods like brown rice, fruits, nuts, and fish, you won’t have to worry about TFAs. These are also some ways on how to lose weight fast.

4. Avoid foods that often contain TFAs. These foods are baked, fried and packaged foods like biscuits, packaged popcorn, taco shells, breaded chicken, and the list just goes on.

Overall health will benefit from the initiatives in education and legislation and are worth supporting.Generally, I don’t like identifying food is poison, foods with TFA content are a definite exception. If you cannot totally eliminate TFAs from your diet at least try to be more conscious of to keep them to a minimum. You need to be careful too because TFAs they become replaced by something that is worse if they are banned.
